Dark, like toffee red dark. Looks more like a dunkelweizen. Head is a short collar. Retains well.

Dark banana, dry cherry, dark wheatiness, and faint Germanic sweetness. I'm telling you, it seems like a dunkelweizen.

A roasty hefe, with a low ceiling on the obligatory banana. Faint clove, this time around, but a lot of spicy dark wheat, Campari bitter, black cherry, kiss of citrus, and a cheap chocolatey note. Yeast and hops really do a lot for this beer. Interesting stuff.

Medium build with a choppy carb that burns in the end. Still, very drinkable.

Yeah... not a hefe. It really does work as a "Weizen Pale Ale" or a Dunkelweizen or an American Dark Wheat Ale.
