Purchased at Mad Mex South Hills in Pittsburgh.

It came darkish red/brown, with a very thick head (didn't like that, I'm paying for beer, not head)

It smelled a little fruity, but also smelled like it would be rather bitter.

I tasted some carmel and some fruittiness, but it was just too bitter for my liking. I thought it was low to medium body, with medium or even more carbonation.

I really don't think it was very drinkable. Sure, I could drink anything, but compared with other beers where you know you could just keep drinking all night, this wasn't one of them.

On tap at Fatheads Pittsburgh

A: Pours a nice amber color with some brown hues in there. There is a nice thick off-white head with plenty of thick lacing.

S: There is some caramel, bread, dark fruit and pine hops. Nothing too overwhelming.

T: The caramel, bread and raisins hit the palate first. The pine hops are prevelant in the middle and the back end. The hop bitterness over takes the malt sweetness a bit.

M: A nice full body beer that leaves a slightly slick but mostl ybitter taste on the palate.

D: The alcohol is well hidden which makes this easy to drink. However, it does have a high ABV which will sneak up on you quickly! Another solid offering from Full Pint!

Pours an orange-ish to copper color with a light tan head. In the aroma, a very faint sweet maltiness, almost like iced tea. In the taste, a small roasty sweet maltiness. A smaooth and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a small dryness to a clean aftertaste. Hides the ABV well, seems lighter, not bad.

Appearance: Arrives at the bar with a rusty amber color and a thick head that sheets the pint glass

Smell: Caramel and stone fruit with a hop kick

Taste: Up front, the caramel and stone fruit flavors push forward with the hoppy bitterness (tangerine and pineapple) sneaking into the profile by mid-palate; after the swallow, the malts kick it up another notch though the hops never back down

Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation; verges on the sticky territory

Drinkability: It is a bit too malty for my personal preference but it is well-balanced and spot-on for the imperial amber style
