On draft at L Mulligan Grocer, Dublin.
Clingy, lumpy tan head over light amber.
Lots of caramel and a bit of toast on the nose - no hops.
Gooey toffee and whiskey peach, a malty tin tang, bit of peppery rye, then vague orange rind hops.
Salted peanut finish and lean linger.
Well chewy, medium, round.
8% rye, but tastes spicier. Centennial on the ingredients list, too, and I'm missing them. It's not Red Rocket - the malt bill is perfect, it just need aroma hops. However, IBUs are there, making it balanced, so stands on its own merits even if it's not the beer I wish it was.
