On tap at The Black Sheep in Dublin, poured into a tulip glass.
A: Chocolate brown with nice tan head that lingered throughout the beer.
S: Aroma of coffee and chocolate, as well as light hops.
T: Dark roasted coffee, malty caramel, and a bitter hoppy chocolate finish. I really enjoyed the balance and transition between the bitter and sweet. No hint of abv.
M: Heavy mouthfeel with light carb - matches the tastes and look of the beer perfectly. Mouthfeel is very reminiscent of brown ale more so than the taste of this one. Easy drinking.
O: I really enjoyed this beer - while I can't pin the exact differences between this and a strong stout or porter, it did taste like a jacked up brown ale, which I don't usually appreciate. Good offering from Galway Bay; pretty easy to drink and tasty.
