500ml bottle from Dr:nk, Belfast (£2.99):
Golden amber with a translucent body & a white, foamy head about 1cm tall that holds pretty well for the style. Pale malts & light hops open the nose, there's some grassy touches & a little biscuit malt too with a faint sweetness coming through at the end with a floral tinge. The taste has a little more citrus with pale malts & biscuit coming through soon after. It's tangy & sharp with fairy strong carbonation too. It gets off to quite a strong start then fades slightly towards the end but it's not a bad one overall.

look: varies in colour a bit, amber to golden to yellow in party, tiny frothy head with good retention and a little bit of lacing.
smell: really sweet, like sugary sweet, a little bit of those grassy buiscuity malty helles aromas come through but goodness is it sweet smelling.
taste: and that sweetness comes through in the taste, although thankfully not as extreme as it is on the nose, still though it overwhelms the malty flavours, which are actually quite nice. a tad of bitterness on the finish but not much.
feel: not as crisp as you would hope it to be, but it’s got a decent mouthfeel, light carbonation, bit syrupy, somewhat of a dry finish.
overall: i would imagine this would be a good food beer, but not the best offering from galway bay.
