A bit too American IPA. Slightly harsh, maybe grapefruit, that I don't particularly like

New release is awesome. Refined west coast flavour juicy refreshing without an overly resinous mouth feel. It might not look like summer so far in salthill but it tastes like it!

On tap at The Black Sheep, Dublin.
Dirty blonde with steady honeycombed off white froth that sheets.
Toasty granola and overripe melon on the nose.
White batch toast up front with musk melon then lemon sorbet, spruce needle and guava hops. Key lime finish and grapefruit pith linger.
Soft, some chew, lt-med.
Malts mostly AWOL, serious IBUs, tart citrus but plenty of fruit, too - that'd be the Pacific Gem, I guess. I don't get any noble Pacifica, so I'm thinking that it's the bittering addition. Balanced and fairly light with a low carb, creamy body. Probably still falls short of a true American IPA, but not by much.
A silky and sly New Zealander.
