12 oz can from an Ingles Market near the NC brewery.

Appearance. Pale straw colored body with a decent white head.

Mild, bready flavor and a lemony aroma.

Received a 12 oz can from a poker friend on 3-31-25. Canned on 1-29-25; consumed 5-13-25. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured clear blond with a very nice white head that has some hang time.

Nose has hints of honey biscuits and herbal hops.

Taste is nice as i am getting a clean honey biscuit malt base with a nice complimentary kiss of citrus with a light touch of black pepper bitterness on the back end.

Mouthfeel is light bodied and refreshing.

Overall, i have to admit i was not expecting much but this ale is drinking like a well-made pilsner. Would have again.

Drinking this at The Nantahala Brewing Company in Beautiful downtown Sylva NC in The Smoky Mountains.
Poured from a tap into pint glass.
Looks golden yellow with a white foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin ring.
Smells lightly bready, spicy, herbal and citrusy.
Taste follows the nose nicely.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice example of a Blonde Ale and is the flagship for the Brewery.
Cheers!

Had this on draft at Foragers in Dillsboro, NC
LOOK: Very clear, light gold in color. The draft arrived with no head and there was minimal lace.
AROMA: Sweet with notes of caramel some nutty scents and malt.
TASTE: More of the same, on the sweet side, with some nutty like maltiness.
Low carbonation.
I think this could have been better with a better pour from the tap by the bartender.

shared with my wife, who likes it
L: hazy golden; foamy white head
S: pale grain, grassy hops
T: pale grain that is slightly nutty, modest earthy & grassy hops, slight citrus
F: lighter body, moderate carbonation, balanced finish
O: refreshing with some unique flavors, but I’d try something else next time

Pours slightly murky, gold in color with 1/3 inch head. Taste is pilsner malt, grass, and light honey. Light bodied, high carbonation, crisp, slightly sweet. Makes for a fine warm weather beer. Sessionable, but unsure if I would pick up again unless I was in the area.

bought a mix pack here in CHatt and grabbed one of these.
Looks like a blonde, meets all those characteristics.. BUT...
easily the worst beer in the sixer... there's a really weird soapy metallic nastiness to this beer. .. very off-putting imo. this aromatic, belch-happy flavor is rather disgusting... first beer in quite some time that I have choked-down about 3 drinks(5-6 ounces) and I LITERALLY cannot get through one more sip. It's got a bright golden color and a pretty healthy head for the style... low ibu's over-powered by this mystery flavor.. Won't buy this one again. Probably the worst off-putting beer I've had in over a year. Blonde's today are hit and miss... it's a style sewer by default and this is a terrible example. I've never experienced that flavor before, and I don't want to ever again. The flavor is very chemical-like... it's hard to explain, but much easier to dislike... I've never gulped-down undiluted starsan and don't want to, but If i had to invision or guess what it would taste like... that would be this off-flavor. Again, a soap-like metal... almost like soapy, bitter and buttery diacytel met a really bad Irish red metal kinda taste... I guess you have to experience-it and decide for yourself... but I'd recommend buying just one... bad batch? I hope so... I didn't see any dates but should move fairly well where I bought-it and proximity to brewery... if its "just this way".. pass...

Cloudy and straw-colored with a medium head. Very mild aroma. Lemon flavor with an almost prickly feel. I liked it.

Current rating of 3.3 is criminally low. Maybe the brewery has improved over time? A little bit of malty sweetness and crisp. Excellent blonde ale. :)

Mrs. Bastard's review..."my go-to in Bryson!".Apparently this is one of their best-sellers, nice light lager-esqe ale, easy drinking, dare I say sessionable!
