Drinking this at The Nantahala Brewing Company in Beautiful downtown Sylva NC.
Poured from a tap into a tulip glass.
Looks golden yellow with a nice foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin cap.
Smells lightly biscuity, spicy, citrusy.
Taste definitely hop citrus forward and a nice malt backbone.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice example of a DIPA that I would definitely order again.

On tap at the brewer, served in a tulip glass. Eastern DIPA's are darker than western versions in my experience, perhaps due to the malt backbone. Nevertheless, 8-Foot Drop delivers where it counts, in the hops! Not overly bitter, but enough to let you know they're there. The only downside to this is you can only enjoy this at the brewery!
