Collaboration with Cigar City Brewing
The second collaboration between Nantahala and Cigar City. A sour hoppy pale ale with kumquat. This kettle soured American pale ale is light bodied and brewed with fresh kumquat, Equinox hops, and experimental hops for a decidedly tart and citrusy flavor and aroma.

Slightly hazy orange-yellow, this is a pretty fitting kumquat-hued brew. Moderately large, excessively foamy light-bodied head that dies to nothing fairly quickly.
Wow, this has a phenomenally fresh and fruity aroma--the kumquat really jumps out, bright and vibrant! This is one of those rare kettle sours that truly showcases the fruit, instead of getting overpowered and fully transformed by the souring bacteria.
Taste is tart, with a slight dank sting of hop, maybe attributing a minty element, to support the sweet and sour fruitiness of the scrumptious tropical kumquat, which is like tangerine lemon kiwi peach and something savory sweet like caramel--a flavor all its own. Two Regular Joes is just a touch sour, more tart than anything, mostly lactic, and very quaffable. A deftly added touch of hop bittering balances out that fruit sweetness perfectly.
Light to moderate body, a minor amount of froth, tangy, crisp, tingly carbonation with a semi-dry finish.
