Drinking this at The Nantahala Brewing Company.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Looks amber with a nice foamy head that dropped quickly to a thin ring.
Smells lightly bready, floral, spicy.
Taste follows the nose nicely.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice APA that I might order again.
Cheers!

Pretty good APA. Picked up a bomber at the brewery. Poured into a pint glass, a murky light brown color with a medium size off-white head. Head retention is better than average and there is plenty of lacing on the glass. Aroma and taste are mostly caramel malt with a less prominent amount of bitterness. Tastes good. Mouthfeel is rich, smooth and slightly sweet. Goes down real easy. I would drink this again.

Poured from the growler into an impy pint glass a clear copper with a nicely formed one finger white head that leaft multiple broken rings of lace behind as ir settled.Caramel malts and fruity ester in the nose only a light smattering of floral hops, this has great malt complexity but the hops are subdued.Caramel/biscuit and big juicy fruity malt notes over top of leafy and resiny hop notes on the palate, this is a malt hefty pale but it's not really a bad thing. Not what I was expecting but it's still a nice malty pale, the hops are there but the malt complexity is what I take most from this beer.

Appearance: Near clear, amber-gold body with a creamy-looking, frothed, white head. Nice lacing on the descent.

Smell: Pale malts paired with fragrant hits of citrus and flower blossoms, lightly resinous in the background.

Taste: Pale maltiness with a trace of husky barley and a very light caramel candy sweetness. Resinous, floral, and citric hop character with a medium-plus bitterness. Drying, accumulative bitterness on the tail end, though some small flecks of caramel are still felt.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's quite good.

My first sampling was a pint at the Pourover Pub at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, with subsequent pours from a growler fresh from the Brewery in Bryson City

A - dark appearance for APA; a dull copper that looked more like what I expect from an IPA than PA

S- detect a hint of pine amongst the hop aromas, again more indicative of an IPA

T- thankfully, taste did not match what I expected from the smell as it did not have the thick pine-resin flavor; it was much milder than expected and more appropriate for pale ale style. I hate to compare them, but the Nanty Pale ale seemed a lot like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

M/D - both were truer to style than appearance and make for a refreshing brew that is easy and enjoyable to drink

Served on tap at Across the Trax next door to the brewery. Served in a pint glass. This was more amber than their IPA poured with a decent 1/2 inch head that left some but not a lot of lacing.

Aroma was Cascade or Centennial hop focused, I think. Citrusy in ways that complemented the caramel sweetness in the aroma. Nice aroma for an APA.

Flavor was similar though I found the hop flavors to be a bit less strong than the aromas. Nice bit of sweetness in the flavor with solid though not too strong hop bitterness to keep everything in balance.

This was a very, very drinkable APA. It went down very smoothly on a hot day after tubing down Deep Creek in the hot sun all day. Nice mouthfeel & carbonation. I enjoyed this beer a bunch.

This one came across to me as a lighter version of the IPA, seemed very similar in both body and flavor.

Nice amber color with a finger deep head of white that quickly turned over into a thin but covering layer across the glass. Light aroma of citrus mixed with light pine and grain that formed a gentle and pleasing aroma. Clean and crisp with a light body and well carbonated texture. Hops roll across the tongue cutting the palate but mellow out into a smooth and even bready flavor that lasts for a bit before drying and awaiting that next sip.

Overall a nice and light, sessionable pale that I would have no issue with going after again. Really cut the edge off a hot day.
