Poured with a deep color and a majestically thick head. Nose had a chocolate overtone, with some walnut, coffee, light lactose and barley malt.
The flavor is malty and dry with pronounced chocolate tones, oak and some bourbon. Very light on the palate but very tasty.

Chocolate dominant, with notes of vanilla, bourbon, and toasted malt. Seems sweet.
Flavor is slightly acrid, with roast malt underlying, slightly bitter. The alcohol heat accentuates the bitterness. Huge toasted malt in the finish.

Big bottle. Pours a thick near black color with a moderately thick brown head on it. Nose is pleasantly roasty with some great hints of sweetness from the caramel malts; decent little bit of bourbon in there, though it’s more of a subtle undertone. Taste is roasty and fairly sweet and super smooth, with the thickness of oil. I like it.
