A: Pretty copper color. No haze. Retains a small head.
S: Probably my favorite part of this beer. Really gives off a rich bourbon aroma mixed with malty sweetness.
T: Sweet up front with hints of vanilla followed by spiciness, caramel, and a nice kick of alcohol. Lots of bourbon in the aftertaste.
M: Not extremely heavy, or especially carbonated. Suits the style well.
O: Really like this beer, but I really like bourbon barrel aged brews. Nice to find a barley wine that has been barrel aged to perfection. I think the brewers really did their due diligence in matching the brew to the barrel. Wish I could get some more of this.

22oz Bomber poured into a Duvel tulip.
A: Pours a darkish orange brown hue, a nice white head erupts upon pouring and recedes to a paper thin mustache.
S: Initial smell is of bourbon with hints of caramel and sweet malt. This beer was aged in Makers Mark Bourbon barrel and really integrates with the malty smell.
T: Follows the nose so well, bourbon is really present and really mixes well with the malty sweetness. Has a spicy aftertaste that really offsets everything well in this beer.
M: Excellent carbonation and the alcohol is hidden so well. Really smooth for a bourbon barrel aged barleywine.
O: This mIght be my favorite beer from their Trail Magic Series beers. Greg and Joe have hit a home run with this beer. Great job guys.
