Equinox just put this on tap, taking the place of Mr. Delicious for the time being I suppose.
A gorgeous beer. Dark dark brown, nearing black, with a healthy tan head.
A roasty, cocoa nose with the slightest grassy hop. Great balance.
Roasted and chocolate malts make this thing dance in your mouth. They packed a punch into this brew, considering it's modest size. Sweet brown sugar tones become more present as it warms. Lingers wonderfully near the back of the tongue.
Smooth and relatively creamy. Again, for a 5% abv they really made this thing count. Feels wonderful.
Overall a pretty great beer. Per usual, even tastier having had the chance to drink with a good friend. I look forward to drinking this all winter long. Well done, Equinox.

Found my notes!
A pitch black pour with a small 1/2" head of tannish foam and excellent lacing.
Light sweet malt notes in the smell, light roasted malt, light hop bitterness. Overall, a light aroma.
The taste had a nice dryness from the hop bitterness, roasted malt, a lightish note of coffee and cocoa. Delicious!
Super smooth mouth feel and light carbonation, typical for a cask.
This is SO drinkable. I had downed 3/4 of the pint before I knew it. I couldn't give it any less than a 5!
