It pours a beautiful copper with a creamy white head that sticks around and leaves ok lacing.
The aroma is of sweet candied orange, pine and caramels. Very rich, sweet, citrusy, and inviting smells.
Too sweet. Malt side lends a rich caramel sweetness against the citrus hops that tends to make this taste like orange cream, or marmalade with resiny pine accents. Ok, but a bit out of balance.
Overall, its creamy and strong with grapefruit rind and orange marmalade flavors that don't meld well and leave a lingering bitter. Its not the best double IPA.

Served on tap at the brewery in a half pint glass.
Slightly hazy copper orange color with sticky white head and nice lacing.
Aroma is not as hoppy as as many of this category. Mild but fresh and a little lemony.
Flavor is very strong and great hop taste and bitterness. Earthy, piney, and citrusy so it has the bases loaded. The malt bill is large enought to give a reasonable amount of sweetness and balance but it's still a bitter beast.
Mouthfeel is medium-plus but smooth.
Overall a good double IPA but would benefit from more late hop additions for aroma.

On a recent trip to Fort Collins with friends, we had the opportunity to try this one on tap at the brewery. Poured a clear orange color with a little white head. Aromas of bubblegum, earth and some citrus. On the palate, this one is medium bodied, with flavors of earth, malt and light citrusy hops.
