Poured on-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a dark, opaque, brown coloring, with a minimal halo of white head. Nose of banana and cocoa, balanced and blended, with a bready backbone. Flavors are banana, heavy and fast, with chocolate highlights, cream characteristics, and a tangy caramel note. Smooth and mid-bodied, with a semisweet banana bread aftertaste. Smooth, light finish.

Pours a cloudy brown that lets light escape through when held to the light. A creamy white head that sticks around and leaves nice lacing.
The aroma is of dark chocolate, and light banana esters. A bit of spice, some cloves and pepper.
The taste is of chocolate and banana, though the banana doesn't stand out as I want it too. Slight cloves and esters barely peek through. Roasted flavors through things off a bit.
A little out of balance with the roasted qualities, and lacking in the yeast esters of banana. Slightly out of balance. Different, but not my thing.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured a semi-translucent dark brown with a moderate off-white head. Very roasty aroma, with subtle touches of banana esters and bready yeast. Dark roasted malts in the taste, dark chocolate, and roasted coffee for a sense of bitterness, as the hop profile was very mild; subtle wheat profile with hints of banana and spice. Medium mouthfeel, overall very drinkable, though maybe just a tad more bitter than I'd expect from the style.
