Color is a burnt off-orange. A creamy head sits atop this cloudy beer, and lingers only for a while before dissipating to a ring. Leaves gorgeous lacing the whole way down.
Smells unmistakably of grains. Biscuit, caramel and cereal aromas make up the vast majority of the nose with some estery hops present in the background.
Taste follows the aroma remarkably close. The full grain profile entices the front of the tongue while the subtle bitters entertain the back - excellent balance.
Feels true to style, maybe a bit bigger. This medium bodied beer is carried with low to moderate carbonation, leaving with a relatively clean and dry finish.
This is a good beer. An interesting style for me and the area given the region's (and my) affinity for ales with huge hop bills. Another job well done by Equinox.
