Served cold, on tap, into a half pint glass at the Equinox brewery.
The devil is in The Details, they say. A Belgian strong pale ale brewed with santiam hops.
The Details is a pale golden yellow color with a slight haze. The head is thick at first but settles fairly quickly leaving no lacing behind.
Aroma is mild but pleasant with floral and lemony citrus character.
Flavor is more bold with a strong pilsner malt backbone supporting the healthy, but not overwhelming hop additions. More lemon, some peach, and some floral notes.
Mouthfeel is medium-light in body and perfectly carbonated. The alcohol sneaks up on you with each warming sip.
Overall a really enjoyable, easily drinkable Belgian strong pale. I hope they make this one again!
