Pours black with a mocha head. The aroma was roasty, a little chocolatey, the bourbon and its barrel. Could be a little more stronger/distinct. First thing that hits the taste buds is the bourbon and its barrel, this transitions into the roasted barley, chocolate and a hint of some coffee. A slightly bitter finish to this too. Medium bodied, slick and a little too watery. Overall, an enjoyable brew but not without some flaws. I bet the regular version is better than this variation.
