Poured on nitro-tap at the brewery and served in a shaker pint, the beer is a dark, brown to black coloring, with a foamy, bubbly, tan head. Nose of milk chocolate, crème, and subtle bitter roast notes. Flavors are roasted and bitter chocolate forward, but all flavors quickly wash away, watery and short lived. Roast and bitter notes linger into the aftertaste, with hints of tangy cream. Smooth bodied and velvety from the nitro. Bittersweet chocllate linger on a smooth finish. Just missed.

 

 

Pours dark brown with a black center with a big, thick creamy white head. Aroma offers some rich chocolate truffle, vanilla cream, and a slight hint of roast. Flavor is doughy, chocolate chip cookie with a lingering dark chocolate that grows in its intensity to steal the spotlight and then a nice roasty finish that provides some bitter components. A creamy, smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, Equinox with another fantastic porter here...their best porter yet hands down. One of their most impressively built beers too. Will absolutely drink this again.
