Deep black color with a thick thin caramel head.
Aroma with notes of dark chocolate, licorice, coffee and some candied sugar.
Flavor starts rather sweet until it dries out showing more dark fruit and then finishing roasted. Hints of plums, cola, chocolate, homemade coffee, brown sugar, faint ashes, licorice and cinnamon. Dry aftertaste with a mild bitterness.
Medium body with somewhat effervescent carbonation without being sparkling at all.
This felt like a Porter with some, but still present, dark fruit sourness. A bit too sweet.

I am not sure where i bought this beer but it must have been at Dranken Geers.
Poured in my Struise glass the beer looks almost perfect. Pitchblack fluid with a very nice superhead with millions of bubbles. This beer made met think of the Black Albert from the Struise.
The smell is rather neutral, coffeenotes are the most specific ones.
This beer coulkd use a bit more alcohol. It would give the beer a bit af a stronger presentation. Not bad for an old ale!

Bought at Drankenhandel Geers.
Very, very dark brown beer (or black if you will) with a thick layer of beige-coloured foam.
Solid taste of malts, slightly roasted flavour and pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Nose of butterscotch and roasted malts.
All in all it weighs a little light but that's partly due to its low alcohol content (6.3% ABV)

A: Reddish black, thick beige head that sacks pretty fast, but leaves around 0.5cm
S: sweet coffee, malts
T: burned coffee, smokey malts and a hint of blackberries, bitter aftertaste
M/D: Good carbonation, medium to heavy body, alcohol is quite noticeable
