No added chocolate! What can we say... slick, stylish and incredibly enticing.. This Dunkel Hefeweizen style is like no other. Intensely dark, and enticingly rich banana, chocolate, mocha and toffee character. All this with a clean and crisp wheat freshness. Conditioned for 8 weeks prior to release.

Poured from a 500ml bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a watery dark brown colour with a decent head that fades to nothing very quickly.
Smells faintly tangy and sweet.
Tastes wholesome and sweetly yeasty, very tangy. Despite this it still has quite a thin texture.
Overall a bit of a disappointment but decent nonetheless, especially compared to the great Bavarian Wheat.

660ml bottle into English style glass mug in London. Reviewed live.
A: Two finger head of nice cream, good thickness, and fair retention. Solid dark brown/black colour.
Sm: Roast in a rauchbier kind of way, light cream, and dunkelesque light chocolate vibe. Mild strength aroma.
T: Rauchbier taste without the smoke or the bacon. What does that leave? you ask. Well, that's exactly what this is. No dunkelish chocolate as expected. Pretty simple, not well built, and decently balanced.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Too much on both counts. Fairly complementary of the taste.
Dr: Average ABV, fairly easy drinking, and decent flavour. Price is average by Welsh standards. Nothing inspired, bold, or interesting - which sounds worse than it is.
