Picked up a six-pack of cans from Frontier Saloon in Folsom, PA. These guys are local to my area, I do not believe I have tried their beverages before. Anyway, onto the review.
Appearance: Poured from a 12 ounce can into a standard pint glass. The color is a slightly murky gold, with an eggshell colored three-finger foam that takes awhile to dissipate and leaves nice sticky residue and ring.
Smell: The smell is amazing. Very floral and hoppy, slightly spicy with a hint of alcohol.
Taste: The taste is a lot like the smell, just not as pronounced. It is very floral (especially the after-burps) and the hops are spicier than I had expected. They are also more pronounced in taste. There is a slight yeast taste that I get at the end, with a mild bitterness that lingers. Very nice.
Mouthfeel: Perfect for an APA in my opinion. It is of moderate body, but still light enough to throw back easily. It is crisp and smooth, very refreshing. Something that would go great on a hot summer day.
Overall: A great APA. I do not know how this brewery doesn't have more recognition; this is definitely one of the best APAs I have ever drank.

Boxcar brewing Company, a small local favorite here in West Chester. Recently canning their beers. Cool.
1492 is a lovely golden honeycomb colored brew with a nice full head that fades to a thin cap and leaves lovely lacing. Good start.
The aroma from the venerable Columbus hops doesn't disappoint. A pungent aroma of citrus with a sticky herbal note.
Tastes like a great pale ale! Well attenuated but still holds on to just enough body to fill the mouth. The resin from the hops help with that too. Nice caramel malt touch. Tasty with a nice quick finish.
Overall a very tasty pale ale and I think my favorite brew from Boxcar.
