8/2017 - pours dirty gold, heavy creamy foam. Light creamy mouthfeel. Dry english malt flavor. Very clean. Mild bitters, smooth finish, quick and tasty. Classic English style.

eyes...
a head more sizzler than golden corral, white foam standing at about 1 finger but dropping, straw and clear colored, although the head has dissipated greatly lacing is still pretty good (most likely due to the plenty o' bubbles gurgling up from the bottom in a tempest), not bad looking
nose...
slight biscuit, slight hop, this is mild as the style does suggest
taste etc...
just sharp enough carbonation, definite malt flavor with just hints of hops on the edges, the malt actually sticks around to chat for some time, a really nice and mild ride, there is nothing off kilter here, it is exactly as advertised, it is quite refreshing and drinkable
verdict?
the style is what the style is, this has more character than your big box lagers (the you know whos) and is a nice drinkable ale. Is it a world beater ? no, of course not but it does what it sets out to do, a good brew for those who can't grab an english export to experience the genesis of the style.
