As my growler was being filled, the brewer mentioned a Belgian yeast strain was used in it, so I listed it as such and it shows in the aroma/taste profiles.
A - Hazed golden, with a one inch white cap that has decent retention but only little lacing down the glass.
S/T - Notes from that Belgian yeast definitely come through. Mostly candied banana, with some grassy and pine hops throughout, some orange, and finishing on the sweet side, hardly bitter at all.
M - Medium body, ample carbonation, finishes mostly clean and dry, with the abv staying well hidden, there's just no bitterness.
O - Tough to score this beer. Labeled an IPA, which I feel misses the mark completely. Extremely muted hop character throughout and tasting mostly sweet. If it was branded as a Belgian Pale, however, it would definitely get higher scores from me. But even then, it just ends up being way too sweet. Drinks easy, and the abv stays well hidden.
