Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip. 2019 vintage
As per the brewery, "Imperial Stout conditioned on Bourbon soaked oak spirals and coffee".
L: Nearly black pour with thick foamy tannish head. Leaves sticky lacing around the glass
S: Coffee and roast... strong espresso, lighter chocolate and vanilla.
T.F: Rich and sweet up front. Bitter Roast and oak... super strong on the coffee and dark chocolate. Lighter bourbon and vanilla. A bit boozy... with a bittersweet roasty finish. Medium bodied and warming.
O: A big time stout with loads of flavor. The coffee is a kick in the teeth... bittersweet roast throughout. One to sip.
