Had on-tap at Barrier Brewing in Oceanside, NY
Appearance - Served up in a tall10oz glass. The brew is mostly hazy and pale straw yellow in color. Thin, broken layer of suds with. Fair ring around the edge of the glass. Great lacing, with broken sheeting coating half the glass.
Smell - fair aroma; mellow notes of citrus, papaya and a hint of pineapple.
Taste - Follows the nose. Juicy, but mellow. More papaya than anything, but with touches of orange and pineapple. Faint, underlying dank character. Finish is as mellow as it begins, but with just a hint of pineapple zing. 4
Mouthfeel - Light to medium in body with fair carbonation. Slick texture with an easy, slightly dry finish. 4
Overall - Of the 3 hazy IPAs Ive had here, this is definitely the most mellow flavored. Its very good, but doesn't quite hit on the juicy notes like some of the better hazy IPAs do. 4
