Like the previous reviewer of this beer, I saw the high ratings on here and was excited to give it a go. As it turned out, this was pretty ordinary in a category full of extraordinary beers and even though this wasn't new and didn't have anything floating in the liquid, it left a bit to be desired...
The pour to this was typical for an American IPA as the liquid looked like orange juice with enough head to top it off. Most of the lacing was around the big, thick section at the middle of my pint glass. Not a strong aroma to this as there was enough orange, tangerine, and floral notes to meekly stand out. The taste was full of the fruit as this was quite slick, juicy, and easy to quaff but nothing jumped out at me and as enjoyable as the beer felt on my tongue, it was pretty indistinguishable from others of the sort that I've reviewed on here. A bit of papaya, tropical fruits, and lime emerged as this warmed up with just a bit of dankness lingering on the palate once this fully went down.
Canned on 12/11/17 with "BALL SO HARD" written underneath it, this was fun to have once but I wish I had a fresher can to see if this was really worth the hype. Sure, it was tough to discern the alcohol in this but in the end, I would rather have a bolder beer with more heft and flavor to it. As mindless an IPA that I've had in quite some time...

When I read reviews I was like wow. Folks said juice bomb, blah blah blah. It does have a fruity taste at the beginning but also a bitterness a touch above my liking. Enjoyed this beer, don’t get me wrong. It’s somewhat gold cloudy in appearance but lacks that wow for $16 a 4 pk for me. Decent brew but I wasn’t blown away like some other hazy ipas I’ve had.

Absolutely loved this beer. Great flavor with a crisp finish, very crushable for a 7.2% abv beer. I hope they do more with sand city and this isn't a 1 and done.
