did not get much flavor from this, might have been a can past its ideal age.

I just bought the 2.0 version of this. Was brewed on 09-13-19 and was every bit of what I expected from such a collaboration! No specific detail other than I love IPA’s from Barrier and was excited to see a collaboration with Captain Lawrence! Highly worth the high dollars this stuff goes for!!

A: The beer is very hazy and somewhat pale yellow in color. It poured with a quarter finger high bright white head that settled down, but left a short head covering the surface and thick streaks of lacing running down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of gooseberries and limes are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of gooseberries and limes along with a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and a little juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: To some degree, this beer tastes like a hybrid between an American IPA and a New England IPA. It does a very good job at showcasing the Cascade and Citra hops with all of the gooseberry and lime flavors.

Poured from a 16oz can into a Speiglau IPA glass.

Look is a slightly hazy yellow with a thick white head.

Aroma is pithy orange and tangerine.

Taste is a bitter fruity like a Hawaiian cocktail.

Medium-pale gold with a translucent haze and a fat white head... Dry hopped with Citra and Cascade cryo hops, this beer is a real winner, full of gentle pale fruit impressions, mild bitterness, mild sweetness, and an impeccably soft and smooth feel... Floral, with hints of spice, and soft citrus qualities suggestive sweet grapefruit and pale melon... 9/17/18 canning...
