16 oz. can into a snulip, this beer pours out like a very light, clear caramel throughout on the downstream. Once settled in the glass, it’s burnt ruby with ruby and lemon highlights. Small ring of a crown.
The nose brings notes of lemon, apricot, slight caramel. Definitely an American barleywine with the hop presence.
The taste follows up with that. Apricot, lemon, black tea, slight caramel.
Mouthfeel is on the thinner side for a barleywine over 10%, but it’s not bad either.
Overall, this is pretty good for an American style barleywine. I like the way the hops interact.

Served in a snifter glass from the bottle.
Appearance: Dark but transparent amber with An off white head rising almost two fingers length with a somewhat gentle pour. Slight extra bubbles on the body.
Smell: yeast scent with light hop aroma.
Taste: Touch sweet but yet sour. Taste like the bread went bad but you dipped it in vermouth and boosted the taste.
Mouth: Best characteristic about the beer but with a touch of it being dry and sour finish tough to lust.
Overall: for me one and done, I love barleywines American and English but this one which some uneducated might find impressive has beyond room for improvement.
