-cloudy yellow can pour with 1.5 cm of white fluff and an aroma of orange and passionfruit.
The flavor is sweet and of tropical fruit. The hop bitterness is low.
The brew is thin-bodied.
-not a repurchase for me.

Now that Untappd is aligned with this site & vice versa, I CAN let the cat outta the bag. I am a top user on both, but for different purposes. Here, all of my beers get thoughtfully reviewed with an attendant rating, hearkening back to the early days when the ONLY way to keep track of one's beers was to write a review. On Untappd, I almost NEVER give a beer a rating, but I check into them all, usually with a pic & a punny CANment. When Joe Sixpack interviewed me, he asked if Untappd had ChANged my drinking habits & my answer was a resounding "YES!" since I find myself chasing their Foursquare/Swarm-inspired badges. This will begin an ongoing deep dive into Barrier (& Friends) since they seem incapable of making a beer without CANlaborating with CANother brewery. Why? I am trying to close out Untappd's "Better Together" badge & further The CANQuest at the same time!

Okay, I gotta say, the label art is phenomenal! It is almost worth the price of admission by itself. I am an artistic guy, although words & paper are my medium of choice, but I totally dig edgy art. This shizznit iz edgy, yo!
I Crack!ed open the vent only to get Crack!ed with a R to the jaw with a diamond-studded knuckle ring! I responded with kindness in the form of a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. This did nothing to calm CAPT CoolBreeze & he erupted! 8=O I mean, he bellowed & billowed forth to form just under two fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head that defiantly refused to fall. S**t. Color was a lightly-hazy Golden-Amber (SRM = > 5, < 7), leading me to wonder if this wasn't an NEIPA. Hmm. Nose caught me inna nose with a musty tropical fruitiness with a CANdy-like quality. Hmm. Mouthfeel was medium. The taste was like dried or CANdied tropical fruits. 8=O The late Regine Ibold used have a stand at Central Market where she sold bags of mixed dried tropical fruits CANtaining mango, guava, papaya, pineapple, passion fruit & even coconut (which I liked, but it was not present here). This drank like a handful of that tasted when chewed. Usually, I make an CANology with Tropical Fruit Life Savers, but this was less sweet than that & more like real, dried fruit. Yo, man, this iz some good Gravy you gots! What? Only century notes get yer attention?!? Well, you got my attention, homes. I'd like to score from you again. We finished with a dry handshake & parted CANpony. YMMV.

I'm skeptical of these collaborations and while this is a good quaff, it's not as good as Sloop's Juice Bomb or any of the single hop variations on Juice Bomb. That said this is a nice beer. Nice looking in a tulip glass at Alamo Drafthouse (IT pt 2) with some nice lacing. Plenty of tropics on the nose and palate - pineapple primarily with some citrusy hop background, Finishes on a nice balance

Cloudy golden with white lacing. Smells of hop spice, light booze, citrus, light rind. Tastes of papaya, citrus, rind, grass, some bitterness. Not crazy thick. Tastes a lot like Money.

Canned 5-10-19
L: Hazy, like a lot of IPA's. Sticky lacing that hangs tough.. rimmed head, 1 minute post pour.
S: Honestly, there is very little to gather cold. A cross between Sloop water and Barrier hops. Bland, but with promise. As it warms, there is a slight hint of tropical, then the dank earthy aromas hit.
T: Bullseye on the flavors. Tropical, earthy and a bit oily late.
F: Medium. A tad on the bitterness side. It's carbonated, but not enough to interfere.
O: I changed my score twice during my review. Things happened along the way that I noted above. One of the best IPA collaboration brews I've ever had.

Very deep resin smell and taste on a hazy body. Gravy is an apt name.

From 16oz can into a tulip. Medium cloudy golden with ample three finger head. Aroma has light tropical fruity notes of passion fruit, guava, melon, and peach. Flavor starts with the fruit mentioned, along with moderate hop bitterness that lasts. Body is the lighter side of medium with some fluffiness. Overall, a good NEIPA
