Wow cherry red surprise and tasted like cherry ipa fruit beer as well. Very interesting brew almost a fruit wine. Very smooth for a 10% but did taste more like a bitter fruit smoothie than an ipa. Overall worth experiencing the experiment. Tastes fruity.

Weird color, massive head. Weird aroma of tart fruits. Weird taste of more tart fruit soaked in booze. The mouthfeel is familiar for a big...so called....DIPA..Overall, just...Weird!
I'm glad I drank this before the Sixpoint 3 Beans I still have in the fridge.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy burgundy brown pour. Opaque... kind of ugly. Thick foamy head leaves great lacing.
S: A bit tart... blackberry and citrus. Vaguely fruity.
T.F: A lot of oddness going on. Some blackberry and fruit. Sweet with a little bit of tart. Muted citrus... berry, hibiscus, honey, and raspberry. Boozy... medium bodied and sticky. More sweet/tart at the finish.
O: Something of a boozy mess. A lot of flavors going on that don't necessarily mesh all that well. A slow sipper... and one that I probably wouldn't pick up again. Not sure what to make of this beer or what they were aiming for.

Canned 07/23/19, this indeed was a great experiment as I had no clue that it would pour out of the can a purple/fushia color with a 2-3 finger thick pink foamy head that lasted well over a minute and then dropped slowly, leaving excellent foamy rings as it slid down. It's a collaboration with J. Wakefield, Garage and Alvarado Street, coming in at 10% ABV. Smells very fruit and tart, almost gose-like and not like a typical Barrier IPA. Nose has malts with cherry or raspberry aromas and generally smells more fruity than hoppy. Tastes very fruity as well with a strong grainy and wheat presence that adds balance, but steers this far from the prototype IPA. The fruity notes include raspberries, orange peel, cherries and then some honey, Belgian sugar and tart, musty grapes like a light red wine spritzer. Interesting and complex, this was very experimental.
