A thanks to the amazing woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a dark golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of mild tropical fruits. Taste is of tropical fruits, a touch of mint, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $4.49. Canned on 7/15/20, so this is a day shy of 8 weeks old.
Look: Very hazy. Has a pineapple juice smoothie look to it with a creamy head upon pour that decreased to a thin layer.
Smell: Nice albeit more subtle aromas of tropical fruit - mango, pineapple, passion fruit, blueberry - along with some herbal and spicy notes on the back end. This is giving me the impression that it is going to be juicy and sweet up front and bitter on the finish.
Taste: This has a very interesting flavor profile. Up front, you get some sweetness and tropical fruits (notably pineapple) with juicy fruit gum flavor, and on the finish there is a significant green character to it. It's not overly bitter either, which is interesting. The finish is a bit spicy and herbal, almost minty. It's kind of cool and refreshing. I welcome an NEIPA like this because it is different and relatively easy to drink. 7.4%ABV is well hidden.
Feel: Soft, creamy, and pillowy mouthfeel.
Overall: This is the second beer that I have had from Barrier (Money was the first), and the first beer that I have had from anyone that used Strata hops. I am pleased, it is a well made beer. Mosaic has been used so much that it is giving me a good sense of Strata, and I think that these two hop varieties pair well with each other. Something to note about this beer is that there is a large amount of sediment/hop and protein deposits that caused the last few ounces of the beer to be very bitter and astringent....could also be attributed to the fact that this is not super fresh.
