Look: Pours a hazy, opaque shade of light orange with a two finger head of eggshell white foam. Average lacing, but still a very pretty looking beer.
Aroma: Huge nose on this. It's dry but malty with big notes of sweet almond syrup, freshly baked biscuits, coconut cookies, orange sorbet and sweet sauteed onions.
Taste: Very interesting. Creamy coconut and sugar cookies complemented by dry but not overtly bitter flavors of grapefruit pith and orange rind. There's also a very nice, floral, Italian parsley note to it hiding somewhere in the background. Goes juicy and slightly tart on the finish, transitioning away from the drier flavors of orange rind into more of a fresh squeezed orange juice.
Feel: Full bodied. Velvety and smooth texture. Carbonation is low. Alcohol profile is detectable but not over the top, with a gentle warming alcoholic nip on the finish.
Overall: This is very full bodied and rich. Almost like a fruit smoothie. I enjoyed it.
