Never got to try the original, but this is certainly a solid beer on its own. Hazy pour with fizzy foam, the scent of aromatic hops hits the nose. Flavors are bold, yet for a 9.8 ABV beer I did not find this heavy. Raspy finish, and this would pair great with some Thai\Indian food. Solid beer.
