Sixteen ounce can of Barrier Nitro Milk Stout chilled in refrigerator, poured into a glass. The body is dark, topped by a tan head appropriate to a stout. The taste is along the lines of the nitro Guinness can. It has a mild flavor, a bit of roasted malt, a mild bitterness. The lactose flavor is very faint, and probably not a big benefit. The nitro is not assertive either. Aftertaste is neutral. A solid ale from Barrier.

Poured moderately hard from a tall can into a snifter glass, forming a finger or two of tan head. Might say nitro in the name, but there's no canister and this was clearly CO2, not nitro. Definitely false advertising if you ask me. Smells like an average roasty milk stout. Taste is the same, pretty normal milk stout. Gets a bit less bitter as it warms. Standard CO2 mouthfeel, light to medium, moderate carbonation. Perfectly okay milk stout, but it is NOT nitro.
