Pint can of Bulkhead Red given to me by a friend. Refrigerator temperature beer poured into a glass results in a hoppy aroma and dense pale tan head over an amber body. The flavor is hop forward, a big flavor component with just enough bitterness. The aftertaste shows a little roasted malt along with the hop flavor. This is a good beer with an unusual interesting character. For me, the alcohol of 6.5% seems a little too strong for the style

Pours a clear reddish brown with soft head.
Smell is fruity and a bit sweet with notes of red Non Stop, pine, black tea and malt.
Taste is rich and fruity with a bit of sweetness. Potent bitterness and notes of pine, citrus, caramel, black tea and peach.
Mouthfeel is medium, soft, smooth and well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific, powerful red.
