Growler filled at DeCicco's in Ardsley, NY

Pours near clear, typical amber, lasting khaki cap, leaves ample lace, and a thin collar.

Malted up nose with glimmers of tropical fruit and citrus.

This is a freshly flavorful, hopped up DIPA with citric fruit goodness, overlaying a very solid and smooth malt underpinning. Densly flavorful..simply yummy stuff...go get some

Appearance: Classic DIPA amber/orange coloring.

Smell: Hard to not like the aromas that come up off this glass of beer. Smelling grapefruit, lemon, hints of pine.

Taste: Amazing citrus flavor with just enough pine/resin. More taste than alcholo feel for a relatively low-ABV DIPA. Classic dry finish, no sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Easy mouthfeel, nice amoutn of carbonation but not overly so.

Overall: A really great DIPA. BArrier has done a few of these that i have really enjoyed, and this is not exception!

The beer comes in a pale amber color.

The flavor hits of orange, grapefruit sweetness upfront. Lots of caramel sweetness. Onto a good amount of dank onion and chive flavor. Lots of that dank flavor. A medium bitterness on this.

A bit too malty and dank, but still quite drinkable and well made.

On tap at Blind Tiger.

Appearance: Beautiful, classic DIPA orange.

Smell: A full bouquet of aromas across the citrus spectrum, grapefruit, orange, clementine, lemon.

Taste: A wonderful amount of big citrus flavor for a relatively low-ABV DIPA. Classic dry finish, no sweetness.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied, medium-carbonation.

Overall: Barrier just continues to knock it out of the park; not sure I've had a bad beer from them yet. Dunegrass is one of the better east-coast-brewed (non-Vermont division) double IPAs I've had; I know they don't ever want to brew the same beer twice/have flagships, but it'd be great if this became available year-round.

I had this at Rattle N Hum in Manhattan while they were having a special on Barrier Brewery beers. This was ok, not great for the style but pretty good.

Appearance was a dark gold/straw with good carbonation.

Aroma was hoppy with a mix of fruit and pine. Decent but could be stronger.

Flavor was typical of the style but a little strong, especially considering the low abv for style.

Overall not bad. I'll try it again.

Could smell this while it was being poured. That's a good sign. Yes. Great orange and grapefruit aroma. Nice zest in there. Citrus for sure. Lots of big bold hop flavor. Head was cut by hops. Bitterness throughout but still quenching. You want to drink more. Real nice and strong and full and nasty. This is a great beer and yes even drinkable considering it's strength. A winner fromm Barrier.

Got on tap in a growler, drank a few days later in a pint glass.

Appearance: Golden amber, with a nice amount of head. A bit lighter in color than other double IPAs.

Smell: Strong, yet not overwhelming hops with just a hint of citrus, perhaps orange peel.

Taste: Very hoppy and bitter taste overall. Some citrus and malt
notes on the back of the tongue. Little to no taste of the alcohol.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and light taste, with some carbonation. The citrus and hop flavors linger after each sip.

Overall: Solid double IPA, very hoppy and bitter as one should be. The less alcohol than other double IPAs means you can have more than one without feeling the effects. Definitely going to get this one again.

On draft at the Cortland, Bayshore, NY.

Poured a hazy bright copper hue with a two finger frothy white head.

The smell featured a moderate herbal hop and grainy malt.

The taste consisted of a lingering piney hop that flowed in waves and completely dominated the experience.

The mouthfeel was thinner than the ABV would suggest, which contributed to drinkability.

Overall a tasty and quaffable hop bomb.

Had a pint at the Beer Table in Brooklyn. There was a thick bready malt backbone with caramel and grains below a rich grapefruit and floral hop flavor and aroma. I thought the barley was a bit heavy for a double IPA, but there was a clean and tasty citrus taste with a bit of juice and toast.
