On draft at Croxley's, Smithtown, NY.
Poured a shiny medium straw hue with a half finger whispy white cap. There was good retention and lacing.
The smell featured earthy esters, a stinging herbal hop and a touch of sweetness.
The taste consisted of vibrant esters, boiled cabbage, light candy sugar and a prickly hop spice. A nice medley really.
The mouthfeel was slightly toward the lighter side of the style with a vigorous carbonation.
Overall a tasty BIPA.

Ooooh the Mare Undarum a new one. Let's sample this sucker. Pours a murky and hazy gold. No complaints there because blasted by yeast in aroma. Amazing herb and spice and clove. Big hop bite upfront. Malt subdued but present. Quaffable. Lovely beer and will be back for more.

On tap at the Double Windsor, Brooklyn, NY.
Poured into pint glass...hazy straw with a good amount of head.
Smells of yeasty malts...grassy, peppery, and slight hops.
Taste is fairly weak and somewhat ordinary...its a very mild Belgian IPA. Its grassy, almost hay like; malty, slightly peppery with the classic belgian yeast undertones that are always present; however I feel it is lacking in hops. It is also lacking in an alcohol presence...
Overall, its drinkable, mild, and enjoyable...but I do prefer a bit more character and punch in my Belgian IPAs...

Pours a bright yet hazy straw color with the slightest hints of orange. The head is short and quickly disipates into a very light ring.
The aroma is of a pale malt with candi sugar sweetness. There is a grassy, limey, somewhat fresh hop aroma. Some floral notes give the aroma some brightness but then there is also some mustiness from the yeast.
The flavor has a good hoppy bitter bite. Quite grassy, peppery and hay like. There is also some light orange and pineapple going on. The malt is light and goes well with the sugar additions. The yeast brings a floral musty character to the beer. Not as clean as an authentic belgian brew.
Moderate body with fizzy carbonation. Good balance between sweet and bitter. It finishes a bit dry and chalky.
A nice Belgian IPA. I think I would prefer to see more of the belgian flavors come out and a little less mustiness but I appreciate that this is not a boozy sugary bomb.
