On-tap at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is jet black in color; slight traces of dark red are visible near the edge of the glass when held up to a bright light. It poured with a finger high dark beige head that died down, leaving some lacing on the sides and a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with notes of cranberries and raisins.
T: The taste is quite complex and has flavors of earthy yeast, cranberries and pomegranate along with notes of spices and orange zest.
M: It feels just about medium-bodied and smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I enjoyed this beer because it offered lots of complexities in the taste.
