Murky brown, lingering tan foam. Dried prunes and raisins, crisp dryness on the end. Like a baby strong ale, finishes dry. Interesting

First had: on tap at Barrier

Labeled as a "dark strong rye ale."

Medium brown pour, semi-translucent, with a small tannish head; dots of lacing on the glass. Rye malt quite obvious in the nose, burnt caramel and cocoa. Flavors of bittersweet chocolate and toasted pumpernickel, earthy, with notes of black pepper and black tea leaves. Nice: not very sweet, and the higher ABV was well-hidden. Medium body, easy drinkability. Revisitable for sure.
