Ugh, where to start. For an "Atomic coffee" imperial stout, there is barely any coffee aroma or flavor, and what is there is not done in a good way. The beer is kind of thin for a 12 percent stout. Overall very harsh and bitter with no smoothness at all.

32oz growler from Craft Beer Market (Marietta, GA). 22.00. Served in a Clown Shoes snifter.

Pours jet black with a finger and a half tan head. A nice layer of retention spreadsto a full, fluffy belt which in turn leaves some attractive and sizeable chunks of lace.

Smells of dark roasty espresso, cooked sugar, charred malt and dark chocolate. The coffee used seems to be a very bold, dark roast and I like how it shines through in the aroma.

Flavors of burnt coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, pine, caramel and a smooth nip of booze. An enjoyable dark, roasty blend that drinks with an ease that belies the 12% abv.

Creamy, smooth, full, body with moderately soft carbonation. Burnt coffee and dark chocolate linger in the long aftertaste.

Atomic Coffee is another great variation of the already excellent Blaecorn Unidragon base. Roasty with a great dark coffee presence that somehow is smoother and less boozey than the base. Glad to have tried this and would absolutely love to taste a barrel aged version.

Pretty nice high grav American stout. Perfectly black with a faint tan head that just barely laces. The smell is of dried fruits and a slight hint of chocolate. The taste is, again, strong dried fruits with lots of complex undertones: chocolate, cherries, a faint hint of tobacco. A great beer, but so intense that I could probably only drink one a night.

Deep, rich, dark chocolate, expresso. Roasted malt tempers this from being too sweet. Thin to medium dry mouthfeel is the only complaint about this and most CS beers. Pretty good non barrel aged coffee stout.
