Poured from a bomber into an Avery pub glass.
Upon opening the bottle I got subtle smells of pine and hop. Upon pouring into the glass the scent dropped to the slightest hint of mop and malt. After five minutes the hops will come forward, then later caramel. It pours a cloudy pale orange with minimal foam. Each drink from the glass expels carbonation so it is well carbonated. The taste is mellow for a DIPA, though it has standard characteristics of one: bitter, malt, hops, pine, herbal, floral, and a touch of citrus, maybe a touch of soap. The flavor and mouthfeel are medium to big.

Here we have a highly anticipated newer Imperial IPA that could potentially de-throne my favorite Clown Shoes Beer in this style category (Space Cake). Josh The Revelator is a golden, copper kettle type of hue, and its head is sudsy and soda-like, with a unique light peach color. I love the overall effect of the appearance.
The aroma is malty and sweet, with fruit esters and an almost strawberry, and floral element as well.
The flavor is heavy... with a most gratifying marriage of very bitter, dry, and almost herbal hops and a syrupy sweet tangerine. The finish is coarse and dry. I think overall, with the unique mixture and dry-hopped formula, Clown Shoes has really created something especially successful. My favorite of the 'sales reps series' of IPAs. If only this one was in regular rotation!

Poured a hazy amber color with a 2 finger width foamy head. Retention is very good, as is lacing. Nice, fresh, malty caramel aroma with a citrus background. Big caramel hoppy taste. Some citrus. Very fresh. Medium to heavy bodied. Low carbonation . Very good.

Had 2 pints of this at The Barking Pig. I asked what was there strongest IPA as i prefer more hop's (piney) bitter beer. I've never heard of this beer and took a chance on it and it was only $6.50. Well, im glad this was available and didnt know it was seasonal and came out Fall '15.
Dark and golden from the look, smells considerably an IPA, cant tell the difference whether its a single or double, but its most def. DIPA, more malt than hops, a touch of floral and citrus, more fruit forward. Hops up front, fruit mid to back. Quite balanced 60/40 malt/hop. Can't remember the finish, this got me a buzz after the second!
Great ABV since its 10.2-10.5%. A keeper. Wish it was on a regular rotation!

From a bomber into speigleu IPA glass shared with a friend. Although this bottle says 10.2%
L- pours a nice clear golden yellow color with small amounts of lacing and a permanent white cap.
S- the aroma is surprisingly nice, it has a strong sweet malty character, but I wouldn't call it so much malty as I would vanilla cake. Very impressive. Also a hint of booziness as it warms
T- the taste follows the smell with a balance of bitterness and malt sweetness.
M- the mouthful is about average I would say for a double iipa. Not too thick, nor too thin. Some bitterness lingers on the palate.
O- I would say it's a very well made beer. The initial impressions is quite nice and the aroma is very nice. One of the better beers I've had in awhile.

The appearance had a hazy golden color with a nice lasting white head. I caught a nice citrusy, grapefruit, spicy aroma in the beginning. The initial taste is smooth with a lingering bitterness as this is definely a hop forward dipa as would be expected. The first glass was enjoyable, but I had a tough time finishing the second glass. Maybe it was the bitterness or the 10%abv that got to me.
