Pours copper and with decent off-white head.
Smells, in low-key fashion, fruity like cherries, tropical and floral.
Tastes of fruit notes that are like a tropical mix of pineapples and some mango, zesty as well, compliments no doubt of mosaic hops. Sweet then bitter.
Pretty nice. The alcohol seems fairly well-hidden.
Feels medium-full and chewy, well-carbonated. Peppery finish.
No big complaints. The exotic fruit that's present is quite a nice flavor, and although I've had so many DIPA's along these lines, as there are so many DIPA's along these lines, this is worth the try if you're not yet tired of DIPA's and live in TX where the beer is only available.
After longer sipping, the palate begins to destruct. The honey-like sweetness prior to the bitter hop crush does work to an extent.
I'm getting a bit fatigued of DIPA's, but this one still fits the bill.
I do think it's cool the brewery put this out as a tribute to their top sales rep in the Texas market.
