Our take on 2018's most notable craze- this version of a new england ipa is brewed with flaked oats and wheat, and double dry hopped with Galaxy, Columbus, Citra, and Mosaic hops.

12oz can. Poured out a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of orange, pineapple and grapefruit with some caramel sweetness. Nice fruity sweetness with toasted caramel and hints of piney bitterness.

No borned-on date, but best by 1/31/21. Real turgid pour - featuring a deeper shade of muddy orange in the center than the margins- with a finger of fluffy white head. Smells mad juicy with citrus being the lead dog. Smells quite tasty. Tastes of mad citrus as well with some candy sweetness on the back end. Medium-bodied, overly-carbonated and with a touch more bitterness than is usual for the style. Anyway, I appear to be tasting a different beer than most of the reviewers here. May have something to do with the fact that BA lists the beer as "retired". I'm thinking this may have been revived with a new recipe. It's pretty good, especially if you like orange juice.

Orange-colored beer with a faint haze. Small white head, no lace.
Aroma of citrus fruit and tropical fruit. Subtle.
Taste of orange, grapefruit, pineapple, and mango. Subdued.
On the lighter side.
Average beer.

A good but not great example of the style. Can dated 9/23/2019 and purchased from a good vendor. I recently tasted Offshoot Beer's Relax and Parish Brewing + Other Half Brewing's Ghost Diamonds and found both to be far superior.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a dirty, yellow / brown color and a very cloudy consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Not much lacing to speak of.
S: A decent, but not spectacular, aroma of citrus fruit, hops, tropical fruit, and malt.
T: Tasted of a below average amount of hops (typical for the style), light malt (mostly in the finish), a good amount of citrus fruit (orange and grapefruit), and some tropical fruit (a little mango). Like the aroma, this is an OK flavor, but not overly punchy. Some of the ingredients seem a little underpowered. Still, not bad.
F: A fair amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: An uneven beer, but it has some good attributes. Worth a look.

Look: hazy peach. Off white big foamy head on the pour that mostly subsides.
Smell: fairly subtle (for a NEIPA) fruit. Not sure if creamy is a smell (maybe lactose, though no indication that was added). Getting some grapefruit as it warms.
Taste: much like the nose. Fairly subtle but solid NEIPA.
