When she dispenses interstellar justice, Galactica has an entire universe to choose from. But when its time to relax and recharge, the lunar farmhouse is the only place to be. Sunhat is a Hazy Farmhouse IPA, combining bold hop notes with a crisp farmhouse flavor from a Belgian yeast strain. It’s refreshing but complex, just like trying to figure out how Galactica grows anything at a farmhouse on the Moon.

L-The beer pours a slightly hazy yellow with a large 3 finger head. The head recedes to a thick film which clings high on the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing is present around the glass.
S-The nose is a mix of citrus, pine, and yeastiness of moderate intensity.
T-On the palate the beer is much closer to NEIPA than to Belgian IPA. The most prominent flavor is the citrus presence in the nose. The yeast is very mild on the palate and only glimpses present themselves. The pine is also much more restrained here leaving the pleasant citrus to linger on the back end.
F-Mouthfeel overall is medium. Carbonation is light. The finish is more wet than dry.
O- I'm not the biggest Belgian IPA fan so the light yeastiness was a pleasant surprise. Belgian IPA fans will find this one quite tame. Recommended for those like me who want to try the style, but not be bludgeoned with phenols.

Orange and filtered with moderate carbonation and three fingers of yellowish head.
Smells of pine and orange and lemon zest with some Belgian phenols.
The taste follows the nose with the phenols being very forward and a tart and biscuit quality in the finish.
Medium body with a slightly syrupy feel.
I got this in Redding California where I’m drinking it July 5, 2019.

16oz. can served in a willibecker. Pours a deep golden orange with a slight haze to the clarity and a fluffy, three-quarter inch, bright white head. Nose expresses herbal notes (definitely akin to a farmhouse); however, not much of a hops presence to speak of outside some earthy notes in the background. Taste consistent with nose; however, there's a trace of citrus in the mix. Mouthfeel is light in body with a carbonation shy of lively and a semi-crisp finish. Overall, name is on par with the beer. Very much akin to a Belgian IPA.
