16oz can, tulip, canned 8/12/19.
Lightly hazed medium yellow with a soda-like crackly off-white head.
Dry, musty, chalky, green grape, champagne yeast.
Delicate white grape flavors mix with musty yeast. Dry, earthy white wine, floral hops, medium bitterness. There’s a little woody character, which is interesting.
It’s a soft, velvety beer with very few bubbles.
This is an interesting beer that is certainly not immediately identifiable as an IPA. The grape mist is prevalent and lends a lot of complexity. The hopping is very floral as opposed to citrus to fruity.

From the bottom of the can: "pkg 226 08/12/19 14:30"
Appearance: The body is a light hazy gold with just enough clarity to allow shapes through but murky enough to obscure lettering. There is a momentary formation of a white head that quickly fades to a ring.
Aroma: There really isn't much of an aroma here at all. When it's under the nose there is barely a scent of what smells like paper. It's pretty unimpressive. It's the kind of beer that you have to worry about sticking your nose in or tilting it too far and spilling it on your shirt because you're trying to pull an aroma out that doesn't exist.
Taste: There is a light corn flavor and a touch of old stale bay leaf. It is very uninteresting and lacks flavor. Very disappointing.
Mouthfeel: The beer has low carbonation, almost no bitterness, and it finishes wet. For a beer that is "7% ALC/VOL" (as indicated by the can) it drinks like a much lower ABV beer, so that is a nice accomplishment.
Overall: It is pretty strange to have a Clown Shoes beer with this much lack of flavor and aroma, so if you are used to their regular beers this one is off the beaten path. The can states that this is an "IPA Brewed with Chardonnay Grape Must" and it doesn't deliver on either the IPA or the Chardonnay front. There are other beers on the market made with grape must and they have a lot more character than this, so it was a disappointment. It's not a beer I would drink again and it's not something I would recommend.
