16oz can poured into a goblet
A- pours a deep amber in color with a one-finger foamy off-white head that reduces to just a ring
S- smells of caramel candy apples, red apple skin, brown sugar, toffee and black tea
T- malty sweetness up front with bold notes of caramel and toffee, followed by apple brandy notes that adds ripe red apple and apple juice. The finish gives a hint of oak, followed by more caramel and a slightly boozy linger
M- medium body with moderate-low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel that continues into a bit of a warming finish
O- solid caramel and apple notes throughout, wish it was a bit thicker

Pours into an impy nonic a clear rich bronze color with a thin off white head that is gone quite fast.Awesome spiced apple and toasty barrel aromas over top of caramel malts,it really jumps out at ya.Caramel and mild green apple tang up front on the palate followed by a hit of booze that warms you up into the finish, quite boozy indeed. If there was still a drinkability rank on here it would be low but the flavors are nice in a small amount...in my opinion.

Form the tall boy can in a snifter. This solid brew pours a nice deep amber
with a modest had of white foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin light layer,
and displays some decent lacing. Nose of subtle apple, booze, faint astringent
brandy, and touches of brown sugar. Flavors follow the nose with subtle brandy
and apple pie notes that are dusted with brown sugars and caramel flavors
and dashed with herbal notes of hops and astringent booze. Nice mouth feel;
medium body, warming, smooth, medium high sweetness, and a warming
boozy finish that is medium to full on dry from the apples and brandy barrel.
Of note subtle oak shows with warmth.
Overall---a solid little beverage from the Clown folk that always push
the limits of good brew.
Cheers

Given my general love for Clown Shoes' barrel-ageing program and their past wee heavy offerings, I was a bit confused at why this would have an average under 4.0. But now, having had it, it makes sense. It definitely nails the concept, in terms of providing a big apple brandy kick with a wee heavy base, but somehow this beer... tastes like it feels thin? I don't know, the palate is confusing, with relatively little flavor until I swallow and approach the finish. An ale with 11% ABV shouldn't feel or taste this watered down--definitely gives more of a cider-like impression than I was expecting or hoping for.

A pretty color, I think I would call it a pinkish copper color. An inconsequential head and no lace.
Aroma of booze, caramel, and fruit.
The taste is best described as eating a caramel apple and taking sips of brandy.
Boozy, a thinner mouthfeel than I thought there would be.
I liked it.

Pours a fairly clear light copper with a decent amount of off white/ivory head. Good retention and great lacing. Aroma is caramel apple. Flavor follows the nose, a boozy caramel apple without the stick. Feel is a bit watery but pleasant, lightly carbonated. Overall a fun beer to drink. Will buy another and share with a friend.

Pours a light fizzy head, low retention, decent legs, sight hazy amber iced tea color
Nose big sweet candy malt, toffee, butterscotch, caramel, light perfumey alcohol, little apple brandy, generic fruity and apple
Taste fair sweet candy malt, butterscotch, toffee, dark raising fruits and caddies apple, apple brandy with touch of oak, tons of dried dark fruits, light perfumey warming alcohol,
Mouth is med bod but a little fuller and syrupy, some warming alcohol
Overall not bad, great fruits, nice brandy, not too sweet

Another Clown Shoes adventure! 16 oz. can. I like the format. Let’s get drunk.
The pour is an school, 2009 West Coast IPA, coppery, clear, Ginger Gold. The nose is caramel apples just bobbed out of a vat of moonshine.
Apple Baron might be a guy who’s building an Empire. Healthy Jazz of apple of course – boozy apple, apple brandy, Johnny Appleseed. Lots of apples. Caramel makes a lengthy Cameo, along with baked pie, cold sugar, & unripe Granny Smith. Light, but with an alcoholic punch. I’ll take the Liberty of saying one could drink a lot of this without noticing & wake up on a beach in Fuji without recalling how one ended up face down in the sand.
This is a Jubilee of apple. Not a complex beer, or really much beer about it at all, but good nonetheless.

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had an orange / amber color and a mostly clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Below average lacing.
S: A surprisingly big aroma of apples, booze, malt, wood, caramel, and hops.
T: Tasted of a fair amount of sweet malt (present throughout), a tinge of caramel (quite sweet), lots of apples (the dominant ingredient here), a hint of hops (mostly in the finish), and a ton of booze (definitely noticeable). This is a big, bracing, powerful flavor. It's not overly complex, but it has a weird charm. If you like apples. . .
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a sharp finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This beer probably won't please everyone, but if you want something slightly different, check it out. Worth a look.
