Clown Shoes "Harvest Blender IPA"
16 fl. oz. can coded "pkg 298 10/25/21 17:45"
Notes via stream of consciousness: Wow! this is brewed with plum, peach, and apricot puree. It's poured a hazy golden body with an orange sheen beneath a finger's width of white foam. There's some visible particulate in suspension. The aroma is bright and fruity. It's citrusy and otherwise orachard-fruity but but not particularly clear in what it is. Plum? Peach? Apricot? Sure, but I don't get any of them specifically, which is A-OK. On to the taste... it's loaded with the same fruitiness found in the aroma, and again, it's all there but you have to pick out the notes for yourself. I still get the citrus but I can't decide which I get more of regarding the added purees - it's either the plum or the apricot first and second, and then the peach comes through third. I also find some pineapple, mango, and orange. Is there some melon as well? There's a touch of acidity to it, and although it's moderately bitter it finishes dry and fruity. In the mouth it's medium bodied and gently crisp. The head held up fairly well but it didn't leave much lacing behind (I hope my glass is still "beer clean"). I find it compelling, and highly quaffable. It's got a complex fruitiness to it but it's ultimately pretty straightforward. I could drink a lot of this! How strong is it? 7%? Oh yeah, bring it on!

From a can into a pint glass. Pour had a nice off-beige foam head with a pale golden orange body and particulate floating about. Scent is tropical and lush -- apricot, plum, peach, a touch of mango/orange dominate on the nose. Taste hits that smoothie IPA sweet spot: just a bit of particulate, a touch on the sweeter side, and plenty of the aforementioned scents. Feel is heavier (no surprise from the particulate) with a fruit-forward aftertaste. Any traditional hoppiness is quite subdued, yielding an overall very enjoyable smoothie IPA that will appeal to those who enjoy fruit-centric brews. Nice can graphics too!
