Poured from can into tulip, good 2+ finger head great retention, monster lacing. Hazy burnt orange in the glass. Dank hops and malt on the nose, slight bourbon on the nose. Taste follows the nose, sweet malt, toffee, slight caramel, some dank hops, some dark fruit, but not much. Thin on the palate, drinks more like an old double IPA. There are traces of bourbon/vanillin, but if you are looking for a big boozy bourbon barrel barley wine, this one isn't for you. I am drinking this in the middle of summer in Texas, so not really minding the lightness of it, but would be hard pressed to warm up on this one in the middle of winter.

12oz can. Unfiltered look, barrel smell. Crisp and hoppy beer, but with a heavy bourbon edge. A lot of booze heat but tons of flavor, a very fine sipper. It got better and had more whisky flavor as it warmed, I never wanted the glass to end

12 oz can, poured at 50° into a snifter. Fizzy little finger of foam disappears quickly. Carbonation bounces around the top for a moment.
Smell is malt, a slight whiff of distant bourbon and a little oak.
Taste is like last night’s leftover Highball with the ice melted off.
Feel is thin for the style, no residue, medium carbonation.
Overall, couldn’t find anything remarkable here.
