5.8% Abv, 12 OZ CAN from the 12 beers of Christmas, out of date but kept in my fridge since I bought it. Hopped with sterling.
Pours to a clear medium gold, forming a modest white head with poor lacing and no lace in a beer clean glass. Nose of cracker malt, a little sulfur, and a hint of grassy hops. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean with a light body. The taste is a recap of the nose, crackery malt and grassy hops with a light bitterness and a light husky sweetness that hangs in the aftertaste. Crushable. No off flavors or aromas.
I've only had 3 other clown shoe beers, but I'm digging this one. Well brewed and tastes great even though it's well past it's prime.

From the can, it pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a modest white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets some grassiness and light malt - a friend was unimpressed overall. The taste follows the nose, overall somewhat bland. Probably needs a lime!

This is a tough style to judge. I seldom drink these but I will try to embrace it.
The pour is light yellow with nice fizz. The aroma is an alarmingly sweet smell. Like ginger ale! The taste is mild and clean with little bittering. These would go down like water.
Recommended. This does remind me of my trips to Mexico, with light as a feather brews, amazing tequilla and good times.

12oz can, wine glass, best by 1/31/23.
Very surprisingly it’s lightly hazed with a medium-big head. The color is also a bit darker than you’d expect for what’s masquerading as, or masked in, a Mexican lager can.
Sulfur, light sweetness.
Quite sweet, corn, cooked carrot. It’s probably all malt.
Light body, moderate to medium carbonation a little bitterness at the tail end.

This is tasty for a Mexican beer impersonator. It’s very light and crisp, with lemon zest, tea leaf, floral hop accents, biscuit, grassy notes, light caramel and citrus flavors as it fades. It was a lot better than I expected.

From a 12oz can, best by 01/31/23. From the 12 Beers of Christmas holiday variety pack. Served in a willi becher.
Pours a very lightly hazed, pale straw-gold with a finger-plus of soft, soapy white suds. Not much in the way of retention, just a wispy cap and collar and a barely rousable, super-slippery tattered sheet of lacing,
Nose is softly sweet, malty, grassy. Aromas of white cake and dry grass.
Taste is biscuity, grassy and, while initially not quite as sweet as expected, a saccharine tackiness builds on the palate. Tasting sweet grass and lime-like tartness.
Feel is smooth and rubbery, thick bodied relative to the style, with fine, zesty carbonation.
Overall, drinkable enough but I found it a bit tacky-sweet and flabby for my tastes.

Lucha Cerveza
Clown Shoes
Lager - Pale
A rather clean Mexican Cerveza, with a big golden malty sweetness upfront. Slightly peppery with a smooth middle and flabby malty body. Sweetness is cranked up for sure. I have no issue drinking this. Certainly not a go-to style, but fun as a one off.
